Our Future Vision
La Floresta is a long-term, living project. While our primary focus today is reforestation and agroforestry, we hold a broader vision for how this land may one day be shared.
We're moving slowly and intentionally. Rather than rushing into offerings before the land— and we — are ready. As the our food forest grows, and more fruits emerge, the possibilities and attraction expand. Five years ago this land was simply an old cow-pasture surrounded by native jungle.
In the future, we imagine small-scale jungle cabins built with minimal impact, and intimate retreats centered around practical skills, natural building, arts & crafts, and more. These ideas are not timelines or promises — they are directions we feel called toward.
Practices Already Taking Shape
What we share below are not retreat activities yet — they are part of our everyday life here. Skills learned through practice, necessity, and taking advantage of the crops we're already harvesting. 🌱
Step by step
Whenever retreats or lodging become part of La Floresta, they will arise organically. Until then, we continue planting, tending, and experimenting with the growing number of products that we harvest from our forest — while enjoying life in our little paradise.
